DUFF, Edward (Ed) - Our hero fought his last fight on Friday Oct. 16, 2009. Ed passed away in his 78th year with his family by his side. A wonderful husband of 50 years to June, A great father to Randy (Rita), Darla (John), Lisa (Clarence) and adopted son Ken Lester (Diane). A cherished poppa of Hope, Shane, Brier and Brittany and step-grandfather of Josh, Brett, Julia, Jesse and Curtis and his only surviving sister Anne Girotti (Marino), predeceased by his parents and many siblings. Ed retired from Girottis Machine Shop after more than 30 years of service. Ed's reason for existence was his family. At Ed's request there will be no funeral service, only cremation and a private service to follow at Lakeview Cemetery. The family would like to thank the Observation Unit at The St.Catharines General for their kindness and compassion over the last many years. The family would appreciate donations to a charity of your choice. “No matter what hardship and illness he endured our loved hero overcame them until the day his strength and wisdom was needed in heaven“ . We will never forget you and will love and miss you always.
