EDER, Heinrich (Henry) Karl - passed away at the Welland County General Hospital on October 16, 2009, with his beloved Theresa Weaver at his side. Henry was born in Sighisoara, Romania on March 26, 1923. After serving in World War II he immigrated to Canada from Linz, Austria in 1951. A mechanic by trade, he enjoyed a life of servicing and selling British Leyland cars for 12 years. He then obtained the original Honda Dealership, Continental Motors, serving the Welland residents for 38 years before retiring in 2001. Mr. Eder is survived by his extended family; Charles and Penny Weaver of Niagara Falls, Gordon, Sandra, Brian and Jessica Richter and her fiancé Zachery Campbell all of Florida, his niece Dr. Doris Eder Becker (Dr. Rolph Becker), his great niece Sarah Zuker Von Okrog (Thomas), his sister-in-law Regina Eder and great-great niece Mia all of Germany. Mr. Eder was predeceased by his parents Frederick and Henriette Eder, his first wife Irma, son Richard and brothers Fredrick and Rudolph. Friends are invited to visit the family at the H.L. CUDNEY FUNERAL HOME, 241 West Main Street, Welland on Tuesday, October 20th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the Cudney Chapel on Wednesday, October 21st at 10:30 a.m. followed by interment in Fonthill Cemetery.
