COLLINS, Janet Doris - Peacefully on Monday, October 19th, 2009 at the St. Catharines General Hospital in her 74th year. Born in Thorold on October 16th, 1935 at Maplehurst Hospital. Daughter of the late James Copeland and the former Janet Ker. Beloved wife of Patrick. Loving mother of Patrick (Margie) Collins. Dear grandmother of Owen and Tessa Collins. Sister of Joan (Floyd) Badgley, late Jean (Lawrence) Deming, June (late Murray) Craig, Alistair (Karen) Copeland. Sister-in-law of the late Michael (Colleen Rutledge) Collins. Janet worked for General Motors for 32 years before retiring in 1985. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or service. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the HAMMOND FUNERAL HOME AND CHAPEL, 26 Ormond Street South, Thorold. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Niagara Peninsula Childrens Centre (567 Glenridge Ave., St. Catharines L2T4C2) would be appreciated by the family.
