GRANDMOND, Mervin - Peacefully on Sunday, October 18th, 2009, at his home in North Bay, Ontario, at the age of 67 years. Born in Mattawa, Ontario. Left to mourn is his beloved wife Elaine Grandmond of 46 years; cherished father to daughters Lillian Grandmond (Gino), Betty Ann Yeomans (Tim) and sons Andrew, Mervin Jr. (Charlene) and Billiejo. He was a loving poppie to James, Christina, Nathan, Shawnee, Jared, Jesse, Justin, Montana, Dawn-Marie, Damien, Raven, Sidney and Malakai, as well as, two great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind his best friend Jack Luxton. He will be sadly missed by his siblings Nelson, Morris (Debbie), Randy (Gail), Milton (Vawn), Rodney (Sandra), Roger (Julia), Lucy Hanna, Marlene Russell, Eunice McCormick (Brian) and Marci Grandmond (Dean), plus many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Mose and Josephine Grandmond, and brother Victor Leclaire. Family receiving friends at McGUINTY FUNERAL HOME on Thursday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Friday from 9:00 until time of service at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel. Cremation will follow at Forest Lawn Crematorium. Donations, in memory of Mervin, to the Canadian Cancer Society will be gratefully acknowledged by his family.
