MOODIE (BRUCE) nee BURNETT, Muriel Eileen - Peacefully at Greater Niagara General Hospital on Tues. Oct. 20, 2009 Muriel Eileen (Bruce) Moodie, nee Burnett, after a brief illness. Daughter of the late Fred and Sadie Burnett, predeceased by her beloved brother Jack and husbands Stuart Bruce and Ronald Moodie. Dearly beloved mother of Myrna Hynes and husband Andrew, Montreal, PQ and John Bruce, Niagara Falls. Muriel will be sadly missed my her grandchildren David Hynes and wife Mariko of Toronto, Catherine Hynes and husband Sam Boyle of Brisbane, Australia, Laura, Andrea and Paul Bruce and daughter-in-law Debbie Bruce of Hamilton. Dear cousin of Phyllis and Leon Keith, Sandra Irvine and Lois Finkbeiner and sister-in-law Clare Burnett, all of Niagara Falls. Since 1957, Mrs. Moodie owned and operated the Portage Licence Bureau in Niagara Falls. She was a past president of the Niagara Falls Opti-Mrs. Club and past member of the Niagara Falls Curling Club and Willo-dell Golf Club. Mrs. Moodie is resting at HETHERINGTON & DEANS FUNERAL HOME, Victoria Ave., Niagara Falls. Visitation Thursday, October 22 from 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be held in the chapel Friday. October 23 at 2 p.m. Cremation to follow In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
