MORELAND, Velma Emma - age 88 of Chatham passed away Saturday October 24, 2009 at Chatham Kent Health Alliance Public General Campus. Born in Harwich Township daughter of the late Stanley and Margaret (McNeil) Johnston. Her husband Keith Moreland predeceased in 1989. Beloved mother of Lynda (Murray) Sharp of R. R. # 3 Florence, Lyla (Doug) Bruce of Indiana, Lorne (Gloria) Moreland of Chatham. Cherished grandmother of Christine, Tim, Jessica, Ron, Lorie, Heather and Holly, Cherished great grandmother of Cadence, Chelsea, Hayden, Dylan, Katie., Predeceased by son Larry, sister Edith Lunn and brothers Ray and Roy Johnston. Visitors will be received at the THOMAS L. DEBURGER FUNERAL HOME 620 Cross St. Dresden Monday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be conducted from the chapel of the funeral home on Tuesday October 27, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Colin Paterson officiating. Interment in Dresden Cemetery. Memorial contributions to Crohn's and Colitis Foundation, Canadian Diabetes Association or the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
