SHAND, Christina “Chris” - Passed away peacefully at the Algoma Residential Community Hospice (ARCH) on Sunday, October 25, 2009 at the age of 83 years. Dear mother of Donna Shand. Grandmother to Heather Fukunaga and Kevin Fukunaga (Emily). Great Grandmother to Christopher and Gabrielle. Sister of Mary MacLean (Garry). Aunt to Leslie Williamson (Bill), Sheilah Edgar (Lou Derrer) and Avril (Scotland). Great Aunt to Hannah & Graham Derrer. Chris was a special friend to Carol Coutu, Elizabeth Jaehrling, Fran Valade, Sherri Jodoin and Denise O'Reilly. At Christina's request, there will be no public visitation or funeral service. Memorial donations made to ARCH would be appreciated by the family. Sincere thank you to Christina's caregivers Shirley, Donna and Barb for their care over the years and to the ARCH nurses, staff and volunteers - you were a Godsend to us.
