WALSH, Margaret Evelyn - (1918-2009) Resident of Nipissing Manor, formerly of Elliot Lake, died peacefully Sunday October 25, 2009 at North Bay General Hospital. Beloved wife of the late Isadore Walsh. Loving mother of Joy Ryan (Pat), Harvey Walsh (Brenda) and Christina Fox (Gary). Adored grandmother of Steve Ryan (Kelly), Shelley Bailey, Meghan Gray (Jim), Hannah Carnes (Samuel), Alison Walsh, Joseph Walsh and the late Sarah Walsh, Krystal and Cailey Fox. Great grandmother of Scott Ryan, Jake Ryan and Caitlin Bailey. During her 45 years in Elliot Lake, Margaret devoted many hours to charitable work and was a recipient of the Elliot Lake Citizen of the Year Award. She was an active member/past president of the CWL. She enjoyed quilting, knitting, baking and sewing. She loved her family and was very proud of them. Born in Mount Uniacke, Nova Scotia, she was proud to be a “Bluenoser“. The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Preston, the staff of 3rd West and Betty O'Grady all of whom helped our mother pass peacefully from this world. Visitation will be held from the Elliot Lake Funeral Chapel & Cremation Centre (36 Ontario Ave) on Tuesday October 27th from 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass to be celebrated on Wednesday October 28, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. from Our Lady of Fatima Parish. Father Paul Conway officiating. Interment in Woodlands Cemetery, Elliot Lake. Memorial contributions to a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
