MAECK, Carman Cecil - passed away in his 79th year at Nipissing Manor on Tuesday October 27th 2009 after a courageous battle with cancer. Carman was predeceased by his wife Lorraine in 2002. He is survived by his brother Ken Maeck (Sheila) and sister Ida Sohm (d. Willard). Carman will be lovingly remembered by his children Carol Hebert (Lou), Florie Maeck and Jim Maeck. He will also be fondly remembered by his grandchildren Melissa Hancocks (Ben), Thom Brott (Lindsay), Nathan Maeck, Emily Brott and John Brott. Carman also had 2 great-grandchildren Elizabeth and Ben Hancocks. Carman will also be fondly remembered by his close friends and all of his extended family. The family wishes to extend their appreciation to the staff of Nipissing Manor for all the kindness and support they received during this difficult time. The family will receive visitors at the WHISPERING PINES FUNERAL HOME 15 King Street East, Powassan on Thursday October 29th from 2-4 p.m and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held Friday October 30th at 1 p.m in the Whispering Pines Chapel in Powassan.
