BRUNET, Raymond - Raymond Joseph Brunet passed away at the Glengarry Memorial Hospital, Alexandria on Sunday, October 25, 2009. Born on June 17th, 1927, he was the son of the late Rosario Brunet and the late Emma Leduc. He is predeceased by his loving wife Rita Lavigne (February 23, 1992) and by two sons, André and Réjean. Left to mourn are his children, Réjeanne Duval (Jack) of Green Valley, Shirley Smithers (Robert) of Greenfield, Lise Lacombe (André) of Cornwall, Marcel Brunet (Linda) of Dunvegan, Carmaine Brown (Bob) of Perth, Aline Duval (Paul) of Clearcreek, ON, Suzanne Robinson (Euclide) and Linda Cousineau (late Wendell) both of Cornwall and Raymond Brunet Jr. (Joyce) of Maxville. Dear brother of Jean-Paul Brunet (Joyce) of Alexandria, Aurèle Brunet (Gisèle) of Aylmer, QC, Anna Campeau of Alexandria, Yvonne Jodoin and Dolores both of Cornwall. Predeceased by 5 brothers, Henri, Rosario, Edgar, Leo. Zephyr and by one sister, Alphonsine. Mr. Brunet is also survived by many grandchildren, nieces and nephews. There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Église Sacré-Coeur, Alexandria on Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in the Parish Cemetery. If desired, memorial contributions made in his memory to the Glengarry Memorial Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family. As a Memorial to Raymond, a tree will be planted in Memory Woods. A tree grows-memories live.
