BIRCH, Paul Andrew - (43) on Saturday October 24th, 2009 at Hospice Niagara with his mum, Greeba-Ann by his side. Paul is survived by his dear brother Neil (Senia), his nephew Hiro (Uncle Bawoosh!), his father John (Lori), his closest and dearest friend Stephanie, and all of his caring and kind friends. Paul fought an incredibly courageous and painful battle with cancer (NHL), for 6 1/2 years. He is now gently at peace and all the pain has gone away. Paul, we will miss you so very much and you will always be in our thoughts and hearts. A very special thank-you to Julie (PSW) and to Irene his visiting nurse with that “special daily drink!“. Always so kind and caring. To nurse Jeanie at Hospice Niagara for her compassion, cheerfulness and caring and Rae Ann (Hospice Chaplain) for her understanding and gentleness. Paul was at Hospice for only 24 hours and was lovingly cared for right to the end. Thank-you. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service to celebrate Paul's life will be held at Grace United Church, 222 Victoria Street, Niagara on the Lake at 11:00 a.m. on Friday October 30th, 2009.
