TABBERT, Mrs. Ethel Amelia - Mrs. Ethel Amelia Tabbert ,age 93, beloved wife of the late Percy Tabbert, died peacefully on Monday, October 26, 2009 at the Chatham- Kent Health Alliance. Born in Montreal on February 27, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Augusta Kruitz. She lived most of her life in Welland and Fonthill and relocated to Wallaceburg in 2007 where she resided at Fairfield Park. Mrs. Tabbert was active in Home and School, Women's Institute, Fonthill United Church, and Prospect Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. Ethel enjoyed life and loved to play Euchre. She is survived by her 4 children; Gerry (Janet) of Florida, Frank (Priscilla) of Barrie, Dennis of Toronto, and Nancy of Sombra, 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, one great-great- granddaughter; 2 sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Marr of Port Colborne and Mrs. Lillian Lee of Ottawa, several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Percy Tabbert (1989), a granddaughter, Jennifer (2000), and 2 brothers, Russell and Lawrence. Visitation will take place at the JAMES L. PEDLAR FUNERAL HOME 1292 Pelham Street, Fonthill on Thursday, October 29, 2009 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be conducted at Fonthill United Church, 42 Church Hill, Fonthill, on Friday, October 30, 2009 at 11:00 am. Interment will be at Pleasant View Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Fonthill United Church and the Canadian Cancer Society. 11715121
