FERRIS, Bessie Florence Amelia - At Norview Lodge, Simcoe on Wednesday, October 28, 2009, Bessie Ferris of Simcoe in her 99th year. Wife of the late Basil Earl Ferris (1988). Dear mother of Douglas (Betty) of Southampton, William (Ellen) of Port Dover, Gary (Diana) of Brantford and Julia Takacs (Gus) of Simcoe. Predeceased by her parents Elgin Dedrick and Erie Cope and daughters Betty Shier and Beth Priest. Sister to Lawrence Dedrick (Grace) and Lela Dunkin. Predeceased by brothers Ray, James, Harry and Lee Dedrick and sisters Mabel Armstrong, Ruth McLaren, Edna Garvey and Helen Foy. Also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. In her early working days Bessie was a switchboard operator for the Southern Ontario Telephone Company and later was a clerk at Walker's, Budd's and Forsyth's stores in Simcoe. Friends are invited to call at THE FERRIS FUNERAL HOME, 214 Norfolk St., S., Simcoe on Friday afternoon from 2-4 p.m. where service will be held on Saturday, October 31 at 11:00 a.m. Rev.
