WILKINSON, Laura Lee (Martin) - C.G.A. - Peacefully with her husband by her side, after a courageous, five year battle with cancer, at the Guelph General Hospital on Tuesday, October 27, 2009. Laura Lee (Martin) Wilkinson, in her 46th year, was the beloved wife of Doug Wilkinson of Guelph. She was the proud and loving mother of Sara and Ryan, both at home. Laura was the loved daughter of Renate Martin (Marty) and David Martin (Judy) all of Niagara Falls, and granddaughter of Teresa Poeltl of St. Catharines. She was the dear sister of Linda James (Scott) of Houston, Texas, and Kevin Martin (Ann) of Kitchener. Laura was the dear daughter-in-law of William and Shirley Wilkinson of Hanover and sister-in- law of Robert Wilkinson (the late Jackie) of Mildmay, Gary Wilkinson (Theresa) of Oshawa, and Jeff Wilkinson (Sandra) of Georgetown. Laura will be missed by her nieces and nephews, Kelsey, Andrea, Mitchell, Isaac, Clark, Lauren, Michelle and Michael. Resting at the GILBERT MACINTYRE & SON FUNERAL HOME, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St., Guelph, where the family will receive friends on Thursday from 7-9 p.m., Friday from 2-4 p.m. and on Saturday from 10 - 11 a.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Saturday, October 31, 2009 at 11 a.m. Interment Memory Gardens Cemetery, Breslau. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or to a charity of one's choice would be appreciated by the family.
