McCONNELL, George Williams - In Meaford on Wednesday, October 28, 2009. George McConnell, formerly of Euphrasia Township, in his 92nd year. Beloved husband of 61 years of Elsie (née Smith) McConnell. Loved father of Joy (Gord) Allan of Aurora, Lyle (Ruth) McConnell of Meaford, Patricia (Joe) MacDonald of White Rock, BC, Linda (Tom) Gray of Owen Sound, and Catherine (David) Verburg of Meaford and sadly missed by his eleven grandchildren. Family will receive friends at the FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME in Meaford on Friday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. Funeral services, officiated by Pastor Joyce Straiton, will be conducted at the Church of the Nazarene, Trowbridge Street, Meaford, on Saturday, October 31st at 11 a.m. with interment to follow at Lakeview Cemetery.
