SWANNELL, Richard Stanley ‘Dick' - Dick Swannell passed away at the Meaford Long Term Care Centre on Thursday, October 29, 2009, in his 74th year. Son of the late Walter and Hazel (née Fothergill) Swannell. Loving husband of Linda (née McIntosh) of Meaford. Dearly loved father of Terry (Joyce) Swannell of Kitchener, Gary (Junette) Swannell of Meaford and Penny (Chris) Genova also of Meaford. Cherished grandfather of Valerie (Jason), Curtis, Matthew, Trevor, Natasha, Joshua and Jason and great-grandfather of Alexis. Dear brother of Bob (Vi) of Owen Sound, Ken (Verna) of Waubaushene, Weston (Mary) of Chesley Lake and Irene (Frank) Clark of Meaford. Also survived by sister-in-law Verna Swannell of Hamilton. Predeceased by a brother, Walter. Dick will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, friends and their families. Family will receive friends at the FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME in Meaford on Sunday evening from 6 until 9 p.m. Funeral services, officiated by Pastor Bruce Jones, will be conducted at the Olivet Baptist Church, Ivan Street, Meaford, on Monday, November 2nd at 10 a.m. with interment to follow at Lakeview Cemetery.
