BRAMAN, Myrtle Louise (née Brown) - Mrs. Louise Braman, peacefully at the Cornwall Community Hospital - McConnell Site on Tuesday October 27, 2009 at the age of 80 years. Louise was born August 6, 1929 in Saint John, New Brunswick. After graduating from Hampton Consolidated High School in 1948, she married Sterling in 1949. They lived in Hampton, NB where four of their five children were born. They moved to Montreal in 1956 where they lived and worked for many years. After her children grew up, Louise lived in a variety of places in Ontario (Curry Hill, Glen Norman, St. Andrew's West, Chapel Road, Cornwall, Kitchener-Waterloo and Ingleside) and for a few years in Miramichi, NB. Louise enjoyed her years of work in accounting and sales, but her pride and joy were her family and her faith. Her family will miss her love and her gift of storytelling. Louise is survived by her beloved husband of 60 years, Sterling Albert Braman; her sons John (Betty), and Fred (Eleanor), both of Montreal, and Shirley Gosselin (Chris), of Kitchener; her grandchildren Louise, Zachary and Christopher Braman; and great grandchildren April and Alicia Braman; her siblings Nora Brown, Montreal; and Jean Reid (Burton), Irene Cyr (Charles), and Lloyd Mott, all of New Brunswick. She is predeceased by her sons Gary and Douglas. Resting at the WILSON FUNERAL HOME, 822 Pitt Street, Cornwall, where visitation will be held only on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Funeral Service will be held in First Baptist Church, Cornwall on Saturday October 31, 2009 at 11:00 AM. The Reverend Stephen Neil will officiate. A luncheon will follow immediately afterwards in the church hall followed by interment in St. Andrews (“The Round”) United Church Cemetery, Dalhousie Mills, Ontario at 2:30 PM. If so desired contributions to Gideon's International (Canada) or the Canadian Lung Association would be appreciated by the family in lieu of flowers.
