STOBBS, Francis Bertram (Frank) - Passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, October 29, 2009 after a lengthy and valiant struggle in his 84th year. Loving and best friend of Marie (Carrier) for 52 years. Devoted and adored father of Kim and Rob Thomson and Dee and Brad Smith. Cherished grandpa to Russ, Breann and Brandon Thomson. Always remembered by his sister Ruth and her husband Bernie Meyer; also like a father to Teresa and Ken Farmer, Joe and Lois Carrier and Sandi Carrier (Ted 2001) and will be dearly missed by many nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by his parents Jack and Margaret Stobbs and his brothers Ray and Gord Stobbs. Frank was a 30 year retired employee of Flintkote and continued to work for the County of Brant and Sager Transport. Frank always had a wonderful zest for life with a whistle on his lips and farming in his heart. Friends will be received at the DENNIS TOLL FUNERAL HOME , 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford on Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, November 2, 2009 at 11am at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church 17 Washington Street, Paris.
