GIBSON , James (Jim) October 1, 1933 - October 2, 2009 James Gibson passed away peacefully at the Rosedale Hospice on Friday, October 2, 2009 at the age of 76 years. He will be loved and missed by his daughter Heather (Darcy); his sons, Kim (Anna), Kevin (Sue), Kerry and Kurt (Victoria); and his grandchildren Randy, Monique, Quinn, Devin, Hayden, Dillon, Chad, Keaton, Emily, Marshall, Leighton, and Kourtney. He was predeceased by his mother Doris, his father James; and his brothers, Gordon and John. Jim worked with Sun Life for forty-six years and received numerous awards throughout that time for his proud service and commitment. He was actively involved with his sons' and grandchildren's many sports teams. Jim loved his trips to Maui as well as spending time with friends and family. Jim was an active member of AA and 1835 House where he mentored and counselled many through their addiction challenges. Jim and his family are very proud of his achievement of twenty-four years of sobriety. A Celebration of Jim's life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY'S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Thursday, October 8, 2009 at 2:30 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com .
