Yvonne VERMETTE

VERMETTE , Yvonne April 11, 1914 - October 5, 2009 Yvonne, beloved wife of the late Joe Vermette of Winnipeg, passed away at the Newport Harbour Care Centre in Calgary. Yvonne will be missed by her two sons, Bill (Linda) of Calgary and Rolly (Lorraine) of Winnipeg and her six grandchildren, Stephen (Michele), Denis (Lisa), Graham (Karen), Caron (Dave), Debbie (Bruce) and Joanne (Darrel). She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren. She lived most of her life in Winnipeg, but moved to Calgary in 2004. She was a very kind, giving person and lived for the happiness and well-being of her family. Her greatest joys were visits from her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Special thanks to the staff of the Newport Harbour Care Centre, and the George Boyack Care Centre, for the wonderful care and compassion extended to Yvonne in her final years. Yvonne's ashes will be interred beside those of her husband at a private family Interment at St. Vital Cemetery in Manitoba. In loving memory of her, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
