Robert MacKay IZAT

IZAT , Robert MacKay Born November 15, 1937 Deceased October 10, 2009 After a long, courageous battle with cancer, Robert passed away October 10, 2009. He leaves behind his loving wife Karin Izat, son Joe Izat and daughter Jacqueline Izat. Also left behind are six grandsons Sheldon and Shane Netreta, Kevin Hughes, Bobby, Cody and Joshua Izat; and his sole granddaughter Jennifer Fraser. Robert was also the proud great-grandfather of six great-grandchildren. God saw you getting tired And a cure was not to be, So He put His arms around you And said "Come with Me" With tearful eyes we watched you suffer And saw you fade away. Although we loved you dearly We could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, Laying loving hands at rest, God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best. We would like to thank Jacqui Birk of Palliative Care in Calgary, Dr. Fugler of Sylvan Lake and the staff of Ward 32 Palliative Care in the Red Deer Hospital where Bob passed away, my daughter Jacqueline Izat and Lance Befus for opening up their house for all of us to stay and to my sister Yet and Andy Sander who came from Holland to help support us. Andy stayed day and night at the hospital and never left his side. I will be forever grateful to him for what he has done. The Funeral Service for the late Robert "Bob" Izat will be held from the Alliance Community Church, 4404 - 47 Avenue, Sylvan Lake, Alberta on Friday, October 16, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow in the Sylvan Lake Cemetery. A time of fellowship and remembrance will follow the Service, followed by a gathering at the Hazard County.
