COCEANCIC, Domenic 2009-10-23 Mr. Domenic Coceancic, age 79 years of Regent Street, passed away peacefully in St. Joseph‘s Hospital on Wednesday, October 21st, 2009. Domenic was born in Pecnia Savogna Udine, Italy and immigrated to Canada in 1951. He was employed by United Grain Growers for thirty five years, retiring as a Mill Wright in 1990. Domenic enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and travelling. Domenic is survived by his wife Anna; sons: John (Isabella), and Franko; daughter Ada; grandchildren: Anna and Tony Barnes, Ryan (Ashley Rees) and Sarah Coceancic, and Larry Barnes; brothers: Grazziano (Margie), and Danilo (Anita); and sister Lilliana (Archie). He was predeceased by his mother Marcella, and father Carlo; brother Alessandro; son Antonio; and daughter Angelina. Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive. Cremation has taken place and Private Family Funeral Services for the late Domenic Coceancic will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 24th, 2009 in the Chapel of Harbourview Funeral Centre, 499 North Cumberland Street, presided by Rev. Fr. Ciaran Donnelly of St. Margaret‘s Roman Catholic Church. Interment will take place in St. Andrew‘s Catholic Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made in Domenic‘s memory to the Canadian Cancer Society, or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
