AHO, Aulis 2009-10-27 Mr. Aulis Antero Aho, age 69 years, passed away peacefully at home after a long illness on Sunday, October 25, 2009. Aulis was born on December 9, 1939 in Halsua, Finland and immigrated to Canada in 1957 at the age of 17. He always worked very hard and was well respected. He spent time taking them fishing and camping and travelling to Finland to introduce them to their family there. Survived by his wife Margaret; son Wayne and daughter Carolyn (Tracy Presiloski) of Airdrie, Alberta (presently here); grandchildren Justin and Alyssa Aho, Ashley and Michael Presiloski of Airdrie, Alberta (presently here); mother Anja Niemi in Finland; sisters Eva and Kaisu; brother Juha and sister-in-law Rita Anderson. Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives survive here, in Finland and the United States. Predeceased by his father Viljo, uncles and aunts and other relatives here and in Finland. Interment to follow in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM in the EVEREST FUNERAL CHAPEL, 299 Waverley St. at Algoma.
