DAVID, Robert 2009-10-31 DAVID Mr. Robert David, age 52 years, formerly of Lakeshore Dr. passed away with his family at his side on October 28th, 2009 after a lengthy illness. Robert was born in Hearst Ontario, on July 21st, 1957. He spent his childhood and teen years in Beardmore until he settled in Thunder Bay in 1977. Robert loved the outdoors, whether it was working or camping and fishing with his family in Graham. Robert was a bulldozer operator for Buchanen Forest Products for 20 years until 2005, when he was forced to retire due to his illness. Robert will always be remembered by his family and friends as a generous and happy go lucky person who always put others before himself. He met Cindy in 2000 and they spent 9 happy years together. Her children James and Heidi looked up to Robert and he treated them as his own. He shared a special bond with his children and grandchildren and one of his proudest moments was to celebrate his 50th birthday with the birth of his granddaughter Jacqueline. Robert was a social butterfly and we will all miss his daily phone calls to chat about politics and the weather. His grandson Ryder, as well as his nieces and nephews. Robert is survived by his common-law wife Cindy, children Jessica and Christopher. Step-children Heidi and James Wright. Grandchildren Ryder and Jacqueline. He is also survived by his brother Roger (Wanda). Sisters Linda (Bruce), and Laureen (Darryl), godson and nephew Nathan and numerous nieces and nephews. Robert is predeceased by his father Lucien (1991), mother Marie (2008), sister Diane (1995), brother John (2009) and a brother Marc in infancy. A Celebration of Life for Robert will be held from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM on November 3rd, 2009 at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #5 on Van Norman Street.
