PETERSON, Yvette (née Dubuc) - passed away peacefully at the West Nipissing General Hospital surrounded by her children on October 8, 2009 in her 88th year. Dear mother of Shirley Jodouin (Dan), Jim Peterson (Jo-Ann), June Peterson, Gordon Peterson (Thérese), Pauline Marleau (Richard), Hélène Laurin (Bob), Roger Peterson (Heidi) and Diane Demeis (Ron). Predeceased by her loving husband William “Bill“, 1 sister, 1 brother and son in law Denis Carriere. Treasured by her 18 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Yvette is survived by 6 sisters and 1 brother. She will be remembered for her strong membership with Filles d'Isabelle, her dedication to teaching sewing and crafts at Canadore College and her roles within Club des Bon Amis in Crystal Falls and at Au Château. Her passion for cooking and catering will be greatly missed. Family will be receiving friends at Sacré Coeur Church in Sturgeon Falls on Monday October 12th from 10 until 11 am. Mass of Christian burial will follow. As per Yvettes' wishes, in lieu of flowers donations can be made to the West Nipissing General Hospital Foundation, Sacré Coeur Church or Au Château (cheques only).
