JOHNSTON, Lucille A. (Kelley) - It is with profound sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Lucille at Hotel Dieu Shaver on October 9th, 2009, her 91st birthday. Predeceased by her husband Doug (1988). Loving mother of David and his wife Anna, and Sheila Petrie and her husband Gord. Beloved Nana of Jennifer Leaver (Jay) and Kate Petrie (Mike Bzowski). Predeceased by her sisters Cleora Kelley, Leone O'Mara, Elvira Gibbard, Vivian Wedsworth, Evelyn Holmes and brother Courtney Kelley. Lucille was a long time member of Memorial United Church, the UCW and had recently become a member of First Grantham United Church. In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends at First Grantham United Church on Saturday, October 17, 2009 for a celebration of Lucille's life, time to be announced. A reception will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Lucille may be made to The United Way of St. Catharines/Thorold. “THINK OF HER AS LIVING IN THE HEARTS OF THOSE SHE TOUCHED, FOR NOTHING LOVED IS EVER LOST, AND SHE WAS LOVED SO MUCH.“
