Frank PRICHETT

PRICHETT, Frank Peacefully at the age of 96, October 13, 2009. Predeceased by his beloved wife Elsie, his partner and friend for 68 years. Survived by his loving sons Richard (the late Margaret), Terry (Connie) and Barry (Linda). Born in England, Frank brought his young family to Canada, to provide greater opportunities for his sons. The North American branch of the family now includes six grandchildren, Lisa, David, Derek, Michael, Colin and Wendy, all of whom will miss Grandpa's can-do attitude and sense of humour. Also survived by ten young great-grandchildren. Until his retirement in 1980, Frank was a respected civilian scientist for the Department of National Defence, where he was influential in the development of night-vision technology. He will be deeply missed by family and friends. Thanks to the staff at Carleton Lodge, who also loved his sense of humour and good nature, traits that he retained to the end.
