Rita Marie Allen September 22, 1938 - September 02, 2004 Funeral arrangements by Fair Haven Funeral Home The death of Rita Allen, wife of Gerald Allen of Moncton, occurred at the Moncton Hospital on Thursday September 2nd, 2004. Born in Rogersville on September 22, 1938, she was the daughter of Helene (Arsenault) Comeau and the late Livain Comeau. Rita was a former employee of the Palace Grill, Main Street Moncton with over 20 years of dedicated service. In addition to her mother, Helene, she is survived by her husband of 43 years, Gerald, three sons; Jack, Steve (Dianne) and Chris, six sisters; Mae Steeves, Gerry Casey, Jean Hayward, Edie Veilleux, Anne Marie Mullin and Louise (Louis) Gauvin, four brothers; Frank (Jaunita) Comeau, Eric (Patricia) Comeau, Eugene (Yolande) Comeau, and Edward (Beverly) Comeau, sisters-in law, Joyce Allen, Doris (Vaughan) Downing, five grandchildren; Michelle, Scott, Jessica, Jonathan, Kory and many nieces and nephews. Rita was predeceased by her father Livain Comeau, a brother Robert Comeau, brothers-in law, Verne Steeves, Norman Casey, Fred Hayward, Bob Van Wart , sister-in law; Norma Van Wart, Harry and Reta Allen, parents of Gerald. A Memorial Service followed by a reception will be held in Fair Haven Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 8 at 11:00 am. Interment will be in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens Serenity Niche. In Rita’s memory, donations may be made and to the New Brunswick Lung Association. Arrangements are entrusted to Fair Haven Funeral Home (852-3530) 1177 Salisbury Road Moncton.
