DWORKIN, Sara Peacefully at the Glebe Centre, Ottawa, on Wednesday, October 14, 2009 at the age of 99. Sara was the manager of the former Astor Chapeaux hat shop on Rideau Street for many years. One of six children of Louis and Annie Dworkin, she was predeceased by sisters Nellie Gold and Yetta Scheinine and brothers Sam, Leonard, and Ben Dworkin. She was the beloved aunt of Pearl and Alfred Rudin, Larry and Julie Dworkin, Stephen and Carol Dworkin, Sydney and Yael Dworkin, Michael Scheinine, Allan Scheinine and Alan Gold, as well as numerous great-nieces and great-nephews. The family wishes to express special thanks to John Lesway, Sara's friend and companion during her last years. In accordance with Sara's wishes, there will be no funeral.
