HASTINGS, Vollen A. Passed away suddenly on October 14, 2009 at age seventy-eight. He will be sadly missed by his wife of fifty-two years, Barbara Nan Roach, his children Lynda, Karen (late husband Peter Walker), Valerie (David Boraman), Stuart (Sylvie Morisset), and Sandra (Bob DeZeeuw) and his grandchildren, extended family and many friends. Visitation at: Saturday, October 17, 2009 from 1 to 3 p.m., service to be held in the Chapel of the funeral home at 3 p.m. followed by interment at Lakeview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Learning Disability Association of Quebec (LDAQ) would be appreciated. Published in the Montreal Gazette on 10/17/2009
