Ed GRABINSKY

GRABINSKY , Ed Ed Grabinsky of Olds passed away October 11, 2009 at the Olds Hospital at the age of 94 years. He was born to Wilhelm and Katharina Grabinsky February 3, 1915 on the family farm in Leader, Saskatchewan. November 22, 1941 Ed married Delia Uffelman. In 1942, Richard was born followed by Arlene in 1944. After a brief experience working in Calgary Ed moved back to Beiseker where he farmed until 1980. At retirement, Ed and Delia moved to Olds and remained in their new home until 2001. The home was sold and they moved to Sunrise Village. Ed spent the last two-and-a-half years in the Olds Long Term Care. In addition to all God's blessings bestowed upon him, when the end came Ed was surrounded by those he loved. He is survived by his wife Delia; children Arlene (Bruce), Richard (Ruth); grandchildren Renay, Robert (Pam); great-grandchildren Conner, Kagen and Willem. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, October 19, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church, Olds with Pastor Norm Tauber officiating. Interment to follow at the Church of God Cemetery, Acme.
