SGAGGI , Ferminio (Frank) February 21, 1922 - October 16, 2009 Frank, beloved husband of Maria of Calgary, passed away on Friday, October 16, 2009 at the age of 87 years. Frank was born in Urbino, Italy on February 21, 1922. After he returned home from military service during the Second World War, Frank served as a police officer. In 1951 he immigrated to Canada where he met Maria, his wife of fifty-five years, and began his thirty-one-year employment with the City of Calgary. Frank loved being with his family and took great pride and joy in his grandchildren. He also took pride in his homemade wine and looked forward to making it with his family every year. Besides his loving wife Maria, Frank is survived by his children: Mariella (Lee) Rathwell, Lorena Sgaggi, Domenic (Brenda) Sgaggi and Sandra Sgaggi, grandchildren: Lisa (Mike), Mark (Erin), Nicolas and Andrew, his brother and best friend Nino (Rita) Sgaggi, sisters: Vittoria (Italy) and Mentina (France), and numerous nieces and nephews in Canada, Italy and France. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY'S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) today, October 20, 2009 at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be Celebrated at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church (4718 Worcester Drive S.W.) on Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. Entombment to follow at Queen's Park Mausoleum.
