BALKENSTEIN , Terry Blake October 25, 1956 - October 11, 2009 It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Terry Balkenstein. He passed away suddenly at home on October 11, 2009. He was predeceased by his Father, Jerry Balkenstein. He is survived by his loving partner Aleta Creswick, Mother Jean Balkenstein, his Daughter Teena Tangen (Brian), his Son Blake Ritchie, his Brother Randy Balkenstein, as well as many extended family and friends. Funeral Services will be held at the McInnis & Holloway's Eastside Memorial Chapel (5388 Memorial Drive N.E.) on Monday, October 26, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Teena Tangen in trust for Aleta Creswick. Receptions to follow at the Calgary Association of Self Help, 1019 - 7 Avenue S.W. at 1:00 p.m., and the Ship & Anchor Pub, 17 Avenue and 5 Street S.W. at 2:00 p.m. In living memory of Terry Balkenstein, a tree will be planted at the Fish Creek Provincial Park, memorial forest by McInnis & Holloway Funeral Homes, Eastside Memorial Chapel on Sunday September 19, 2010.
