BARKER , Robert Henry 1925 - 2009 Robert Henry Barker, beloved father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, and loving husband to Beverly, passed away peacefully, with family at his side, on October 19, 2009, at Foothills Medical Center in Calgary. Born December 21, 1925, in Toronto, Bob was a proud veteran of WWII. He served with the RCAF as a tail gunner with the 425 and 405 squadrons. A selfless mentor, Bob's proudest achievement and life's work was his family. He is survived by his loving wife Beverly; and his children, Robert (Diana) of Burlington, ON, William (Nora) of Calgary, Julie (Gary Newcombe) of Calgary, Thomas (Charmaine) of Aurora, ON, and David (Jane) of Woodstock, ON. He is also mourned by his brothers, Arthur, Ed, John and Gord. He will be lovingly remembered by his fifteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Bob was grateful for the medical care he received while residing in Calgary. The family would like to recognize Dr. D. Rohatinsky, Dr. Vitale, Dr. Hons, Heather Dean and the fine staff at South Calgary Dialysis, Doug and Jen Gorin, and the Calgary Poppy Fund. Bob will be interred in Smiths Falls, Ontario on October 26.
