Margaret Gretel PELZER

PELZER, Margaret (Gretel) June 15, 1928 October 19, 2009 It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Margaret Pelzer at the age of 81 years. She will be sadly missed by the many hearts she had touched in her life. Margaret is survived by her husband Leonard of fifty six years; son Gerhard (Cindy); daughters Gerda (Lawrence) Klyne, Susan (Frank) Gerein; and son Mike (Dianne); seven grandchildren, Beata (Mike), Bridgette, DeeDee (Tracy), Lawrence, Tony (Jacklyn), Alex and her baby Anna; seven great grandchildren, Skylar, Tatayana, Brandon, Jenna, Katie, Jayden and Samual; two sisters Herta (George) Rosenkranz and Paula (Adi) Traweger; brother-in-law William (Mary) Pelzer; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Margaret was born in Austria in 1928 and immigrated to Canada in 1952. Her first job was at the Regina General Hospital as a food provider. In 1953 she met Leonard and shortly after they were married and resided in Regina until they moved to Vibank in 1974. Margaret had a great love for animals, she enjoyed gardening, the outdoors and spending time with her grandchildren. One of her greatest hobbies was crocheting, which she was a master at during the winter season. The family would like to thank Dr. Bella-Lufa and the nursing staff at the Lakeside nursing home in Wolseley, SK where she happily spent the last four and a half months of her life. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held to celebrate Margaret's life at Regina Funeral Home, Hwy #1 East, Regina, SK on Saturday, October 24, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Louis Abello celebrant.
