Helen Marjorie BURNSON

MacKINNON - Helen Marjorie (nee Burnson) April 18, 1936 - October 18, 2009 " Love You Lots" It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our extraordinary mom and grandma, Helen Marjorie MacKinnon. She loved her girls and grandchildren immensely, Cheryl (Bob), Chelsey, Heather (John), Spencer, and Lori (Trevor), Sam, Alli, Jessi, and Mikayla. She will be fondly missed by her husband Terry, "Gramps"" to all the kids. Mom was a "people person" whose door was always open. She could cook up the most amazing meals at the drop of a hat, always with enough to feed all and more. She loved nature and all her blessings - her beautiful gardens a constant haven for backyard neighbours of squirrels and birds, to bears. She loved to sing and dance, avidly supporting arts and entertainment. Special thanks from her family to her team of paramedics, doctors and nurses at Lions Gate Hospital Emergency; each of whom helped her to pass with the utmost of grace. There will be a private graveside service with her family at Mountainview Cemetery. A celebration of her life will be held at Christmas, her favorite holiday of the year.
