H. Verna BISHOP

READER, H. Verna 93 years. Passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on October 19, 2009 at Malden Park Continuing Care Centre. Predeceased by her husband Reginald Mitchell (1950) and Harry Reader (1982); her parents Samuel and Martha Bishop; her daughter Irene Reader (1970); 6 brothers and 5 sisters. Sister-in-law to Ella Bishop of Newfoundland. Also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, great great nieces and nephews, family and friends. A special thank you to the staff at Malden Park- 2 South for your exceptional care. For the service above and beyond we would like to thank Diane Philpott and Lo-Anne Hancrar. Also thank you to Breanne Bennet for you dedication and friendship. Verna was a life member of the Women's Aux at Church of The Ascension, Ascension Fun Band, Ascension Choir and the C.E.W.A. St Catherines. Visitation will be held at Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 895 Ouellette Avenue (519-254-3223) on Thursday from 3-5 & 7-9 p.m. Verna will then rest at Church of The Ascension, 1385 University Ave West on Friday, October 23, 2009 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. Rev Lance Smith officiating, assisted by Rev Dr. Canon Don Hull.
