Janet BASTIEN

BINDER, Janet 72 years passed away at Hospice Residence on October 22, 2009 with her loving family by her side. She has gone to be reunited with her beloved husband, Joe (1988). Cherished mother of her "#1 son" John & wife Kim. Dearest "Gramma Jan" to Cole. Predeceased by her loving parents Vera (2007) & Harold Bastien (1994) and her dear brothers Peter (1969) and David (1997). Special sister to Diane Loeffen & husband John. Janet will be sadly missed by her godchildren Bob Labute & wife Kim and Andrea Nantais. Close to her heart are members of the Prince Charles Group, especially Emy McBride, Bev Oke and Marg Campeau . Janet will be lovingly remembered by all those who had the privilege to know and love her. Janet retired from the Windsor Essex County Public School Board. She thoroughly enjoyed her work as a secretary at Prince Charles, Ada C. Richards and Oakwood schools. The family would like to thank all of those who have been such a support during Janet's illness. She appreciated everything so greatly. A special thank you to Hospice Residence for the compassion & kindness shown to Janet, to 8 North at Metropolitan Hospital for your care, a special thanks to Dr. Andrea Steen. At Janets request, no flowers and all donations to the Hospice Residence would be appreciated. Visitation Monday 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at Families First Funeral Home & Tribute Centre (519-969-5841) 3260 Dougall Ave. Cremation to follow.
