DOWHAN, Arthur "Art" Passed away peacefully on Friday October 16, 2009 at Hotel-Dieu Grace Hospital surrounded by his daughter and brothers. Predeceased by his parents Mike & Irene Dowhan (1987) and his first wife Willo (Forrest 2002). Beloved father of Tracey and her husband Guy Nichols and survived by wife Heather ("Dee" nee Nichols) and their son Josh; Dad to Kelly and Shannon Holman; step-children Brandon and Aaron Holmes, Nicole Furlotte and Jennifer Littlejohns. Cherished grandpa to Amanda & Derek Romanello and Alyssa Dowhan. Great-grandpa to Angelo, Sophia and baby Romanello on the way. Art leaves behind his brothers Ron & Theresa, Lloyd & Fran, Gerald, Ray & Sandy and his many nieces & nephews and their families. He will be especially missed by his companion "Toby". Special thanks to Darianne and all the staff on the 2nd and 7th floors of Hotel-Dieu Grace Hospital. Family will receive friends at the Secord & Smith Funeral Home, Cozy Corners, Maidstone, (519-737-1133) on Sunday October 25, 2009 from 1:00 until 3:30pm with a funeral service at 3:30pm with Reverend Murray Steacy, officiating. Cremation to follow. Interment at Heavenly Rest Cemetery at a later date.
