THOMPSON, Josie (Jo) (nee Kroskie) 85 years, passed away on October 22, 2009, peacefully at home. Dear mother of Les and Kathy, Mary-Ellen and Frank Therrien, Peggy and Pat Gallagher, Tom and Debbie, Dave, Christine and Dennis Corrado, and the late Catherine Ann (1950). Daughter of the late Joseph and Katie Kroskie. Loving grandmother of 15 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. Dear sister of Theo Gribbs, Stella LaBute, and the late John Kroskie, Rose Donovan, Walter Kroskie, Cecile Hess, Lucille Jolly, and Katie Grossi. Survived by many nieces and nephews. Josie was a hardworking, dedicated mother that will be sadly missed. She was a WREN in the Royal Canadian Navy, a veteran of WWII, a member of Royal Canadian Legion Branch 261, the CWL at Ste. Anne Church where she was a lifelong member. Visitation will be held at the Marcotte Funeral Home and Chapel, 12105 Tecumseh Road, Tecumseh (519-735-2830) on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. with Parish Prayers at 3:00 p.m. and Royal Canadian Legion Branch 261 Service at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will continue at Ste. Anne Church on Tuesday, October 27, 2009 from 9:30 a.m. until the Mass of the Resurrection at 10:00 a.m. Fr. Dwayne Adam and Fr. Robert Couture celebrants. Interment Heavenly Rest Cemetery. Memorial dona-tions made to Windsor Regional Cancer Centre, Hospice of Windsor-Essex or Transition to Betterness would be appreciated.
