Maria Renate EISENHARDT

NANTSIOS, Maria Renate (nee Eisenhardt) Beloved wife of Konstantinos and mother of Nick (Carole) and Katherina (Ian). Renate passed away peacefully, October 23, 2009, at the Hospice at May Court. She will be sadly missed by brother and sister-in-laws Alexis (Voula), Thanasi (Soula); nieces and nephews (Nico, Kathy, Eoanna, Nick (Margaret); grand nieces and nephews, Alexandra and Amanda; and family in Germany, Henee, Horst, Eiberhardt, Martina and Mergheti. Born in Germany October 2, 1934 and emmigrating to Canada in the early 1950's, Renate married "Gus" Nantsios in 1959 and recently celebrated their 50th anniversary. She was an accomplished wood carver specializing in lifelike birds and many other talents, greatly appreciated by family and friends. Friends may call at the Pinecrest Visitation Center (2500 Baseline Road) on Monday, October 26th from 5 - 9 p.m. (with Trisagion Prayers at 8 p.m.) Funeral Service will be held at Kimisis Tis Theotokos - Greek Orthodox Church, 1315 Prince of Wales Drive, Ottawa, on Tuesday at 11 a.m. Interment at Pinecrest Cemetery.
