Ronald George JOHNSTON

JOHNSTON, Ronald George November 5, 1930 - October 21, 2009 Ron Johnston of Ardrossan, Alberta passed away peacefully with family by his side at the Grey Nun's Hospital at the age of 78 years after an aggressive battle with pancreatic cancer. Lovingly remembered by his wife of 30 years, France; his daughters Debbie (Rod) Forest and Julie Johnston. Grandchildren Cory (Crissy) Crozier, Mellissa (Chris) Bignell and great-grandson Xander Bignell. He leaves two sisters, Margaret Hoiland of Regina, SK and Evelyn (Frank) Kwak of Chilliwack, BC; as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife, Wilma, his daughter Peggy Sue, his parents Glen and Glenna Johnston, brother Robert Johnston and brother-in-law Harry Hoiland. A Celebration of Ronald's life will be held on Monday, October 26, 2009 commencing at 11:00 a.m. at the Millbourne Alliance Church - 2101 Millbourne Road West, Edmonton, Alberta. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, the Diabetes Association or the Cancer Foundation. Published in the Edmonton Journal on 10/24/2009
