POISSON, Douglas Passed away in his 70th year, with dignity, peace, and a lot of love, on October 24, 2009, at Hospice Residential Home. Beloved husband of Nancy. Dear father of Jeff (Anne), Andy, Nick, and Bobby. Papa Doug to AJ, Sydney, and Isaac. Dear son of the late Gerald and Thelma Poisson. Dear brother of Pierre, Stephen, Donald, and the late Frank (1995) and Gerald (2008). Survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends, in Canada and United States. Doug will always be remembered for his permanent smile and perpetual jokes. He was a best friend to everyone who knew him and will be sadly missed. A special thank you to the staff and volunteers at Hospice Residential Home for the love and care given to Doug during his stay. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at the Marcotte Funeral Home and Chapel, 12105 Tecumseh Road, Tecumseh (519-735- 2830), on Wednesday from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. with Parish Prayers at 4:30 p.m. and a eulogy and sharing time at 8:00 p.m. Family and friends are asked to gather at Ste. Anne Church on Thursday, October 29, 2009, from 10:00 a.m. until the Mass of the Resurrection at 10:30 a.m. Fr. Thom Blondin and Fr. Robert Couture celebrants. Interment Ste. Anne Cemetery.
