NEW, Thelma (nee Thirlwell) It is with great sadness that the family of Thelma New announces her passing on Sunday, October 25, 2009 at the age of 88 years. Thelma will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by her husband, Gordon, of 66 years; their children, Shirley (Dick) Foose of Edmonton, Lynda Bell of Kelowna and Keith of London, England; their grandchildren, Andrew Bell from Salt Lake City, Derek (Yolanda) Foose from Whistler and Matthew Bell of Kelowna; her sister Hilda (Steve) Rizun of Squamish, BC; and their only great-grandchild, Mason Foose. A Celebration of Life will be held at Christ Church Anglican, 12116 - 102 Avenue, Edmonton on Thursday, October 29, at 3:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Christ Church Memorial Garden. In memory of Thelma, donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
