Elsie PENMAN

RICHMOND, Elsie Suddenly, but peacefully with her family by her side on Sunday, October 25, 2009 at age 68. Elsie was the beloved wife of Adrian for the past 28 years. Best friend and mother to Elena (Fazil Hussein) and immensely proud nana of three-week old Iris. Elsie will be deeply missed by sister Dorothy (Bert) Lowry of Almonte, sister-in-law Mary Penman (late Jack) of Lombardy, sister and brother-in-law Grietje and Ron Waddell of Hemmingford, Quebec and by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Elsie will be remembered as a warm, generous, creative and fun-loving woman. Elsie is predeceased by her parents John and Mary Penman (nee Lawson) of Almonte, first husband Donald J. Clapp, brother Jack Penman of Lombardy and sister Ruth (late Bill Leslie) of Scarborough. Friends may call at the Almonte Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 154 Elgin Street, Almonte on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the Almonte United Church on Friday at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Auld Kirk Cemetery.
