Marian Louise WOOD

WOOD, Marian Louise On October 25, 2009 Marian went to be with her Lord and to be reunited with her beloved husband Rev Kenneth Wood who predeceased her in 1982. She leaves behind her sister and faithful friend, Elizabeth Widene, her 4 children Jim Wood (Lina) of Edmonton, Louise Christie (Stu) of Lethbridge, Helen Allan (Don) and Margaret Birtwistle (Greg) of Victoria. She also leaves behind 12 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren who she loved and cherished. In 1935 Marian married and served in the United Church of Canada beside her husband in congregations in Saskatchewan, Ontario, Alberta and B.C. In 1987 she retired as co-ordinator of the James Bay New Horizons. She will be sadly missed by her family and many wonderful friends. She led a vibrant life and was an inspiration to those she served and loved. Our family would like to thank the excellent staff at Beckley Farm Lodge for the outstanding care they gave our Mom during her last difficult years.
