Sheila Marguerite HISSEY

ALLAN, Sheila Marguerite Sheila Marguerite Allan (nee Hissey) passed away on Saturday, October 24, 2009 at the age of 77. Daughter of William and Josephine Hissey, Sheila was born on October 29, 1931 in Manchester, England and immigrated to Canada in 1957. She married William James Allan of Edmonton the following year in Calgary. Sheila was a longtime member of the Happy Hookers, a group of ladies who for many years got together to crochet, knit, chat and enjoy each other's company. Jim and Sheila were also founding members of the Alberta St. George of England Society. She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years William James Allan, her sons Trevor (Toini) and Ian (Cathy); Granddaughters Amanda (Derrick), Chelsea, Alisha, brother Geoffrey Hissey of Manchester and numerous other cousins, nieces and nephews. A Memorial service for Sheila will be held on Friday, October 30, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. at Appel Funeral Home, 10530 - 116 Street, Edmonton, AB.
