Richard Thomas ALLEN

ALLEN, Rick It is with great sadness that the Allen family announces the sudden and unexpected passing of Rick (Richard Thomas) Allen October 18, 2009. We will remember Rick for his generous and kind heart, his ability to make people smile and laugh. We will remember his adventurous spirit, great sense of humor and his lust for life. His adventures and interests were many, as Rick was a published writer and photographer; he loved the theater and acted both on stage and the big screen. As much as Rick was creative he also loved to challenge himself and very much enjoyed politics and business. Those of us that knew and loved him know that he was easy to love and hard to forget. We would like to thank Nisku Dispatch for their care and attention on October 15th and know that they also share in our loss. We would like to thank the staff at the Royal Alexandra Hospital CCU unit for their care and enormous efforts. We would like to acknowledge HOPE for guiding us through the Organ Donor process, we will celebrate and remember his life knowing there is an unbroken connection and know that Rick's generosity continues. Rick was predeceased by his father Earl (Ed) Allen; mother Edna Allen; and his sister Sandra Pearce. Rick is survived by his son Dana; and daughter Stacie; his sister Terry Berezansky; brothers, David Allen, James Allen and Douglas Allen. Rick was uncle to 12 nieces and nephews. The Funeral Service and Reception will be held on Saturday, October 31 at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Howard & McBride Westlawn, 16310 Stony Plain Road, Edmonton.
