MacDONALD, Robert Bruce With great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Bruce MacDonald on Sunday, October 25, 2009. He was deeply loved and will be sadly missed by his wife, Colleen; daughter, Julia (Chad) Pointkoski; daughter, Jennifer; sisters, Carol (Paul) Kraychy, Sharon Hartley, Marilyn (Doug) Lewis; mother-in-law, Sadie Murphy; many friends, relatives and work colleagues. Bruce was predeceased by his beloved son, Ian; parents, Isabelle and Robert; sister, Margaret Milne; wonderful aunts, uncles and life long friend Harry Parlee. Bruce was born February 9, 1947 and spent most of his life living and working in Edmonton. For the past 35 years his fondness for history was perfectly matched with his job as curator at the City of Edmonton Artifacts Centre and Fort Edmonton Park. He was a positive, wise and gentle man who cherished the simple things in life. His family always came first and his steady influence and quirky humour will always be remembered. A Celebration of Bruce's life will be held at The Fort in Fort Edmonton Park, on Friday, October 30, 2009 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or Edmonton Humane Society. Floral tributes are gratefully declined. To sign the book of condolences visit www.glenwoodmemorial.com GLENWOOD 467-3337 Funeral Home, Cemetery, Cremation Ctr.
