VERTZ, Dennis 68 years, of Tilbury, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance. Beloved husband and best friend for 47 years to Judy (nee Ford). Loving father of Chris and his wife Lynda Whitney-Vertz, and Lisa Vertz. Dearest grandpa of his "Best Buddy" Konar Jones. Predeceased by parents William and Georgiana Vertz, Harry and Pearl Smith. Dear brother of the late Harry and late wife Shirley Vertz, and the late Leonard and surviving wife Ruth Vertz. Dear uncle of many nieces and nephews. Dennis served the community of Tilbury as a councilor for many years. Visitation at Reaume Funeral Home, 6 Canal St. W., Tilbury from 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Thursday. Parish prayers 8 p.m. Thursday. Funeral service from the funeral home Friday, October 30, 2009 at 10:00 a.m., then to St. Francis Xavier Church, Tilbury for Mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery.
